CAN Denies 7 Billion Naira Election Bribe

Christian Association of Nigeria(CAN) has denied the 7 billion Naira campaign bribe handed to them for Goodluck Jonathan re-election campaign. In a statement released yesterday in Abuja by the General Secretary of CAN.

After various rumours speculating on this issue, the Association has called on security agencies to investigate this allegation and also interrogate the Voice of Northern Christian Movement for cooking up such damaging allegations.

The General Secretary of Can, Dr Musa Asake said that the Association had no of knowledge of such payments or transactions and that the Voice of Northern Christian Movement Executive Director should be called upon to explain the mystery which was propagated by theirs sponsors to cause chaos
in the country.

He further stated that CAN is not a political party and that the Association does not get entangled in political affairs as members of the Association are of different political parties, so it is ridiculous to say that the Association is canvassing or campaigning for one candidate.
