45 Killed in Borno in Another Boko Haram Ambush......Including soldiers and Hunters


Boko Haram militants detonated a roadside bomb today after ambushing a combination of military men and hunters in Mararaba near Mubi in Adamawa state.

According to eyewitnesses and military sources,the ambush which happened at about 6pm Nigeria time said at-least 10 soldiers and 35 hunters were killed in the ambush.

A Nigerian army source stated that they were aware of the attack but could not comment on the level of casualty immediately and that they are still investigating.


Mararaba is 18 kilometers from Mubi, a town recently attacked by Boko Haram militants sect.
However a push by hunters supported by Nigerian troops forced Boko Haram to beat a retreat in the area.

 A military source stated that some 100 Boko Haram militants have been killed in the area between Sunday to Wednesday night by military men  to recover territory from militants.
